ABOUT EASTERVAL
This well sponsored, individual and business supported Festival which incorporates Good Friday and Easter Monday is a well planned unforgettable event with countless memory that draws extremely large first timers and happily returnees to Union Island.
Some of these includes prominent individuals such as the late Hon Mary Eugenia Charles (Dominica's first and to this day only female Prime Minister), and the late Sir John George Melvin Compton (Saint Lucia first Prime Minister). With nine days, the Easterval highlights and showcases activities including; sporting competions, beauty peagents, costumes designs, and an exciting J'Ouvert and street Jump-Up.
The Festival this year 2008 has undergone some significant changes. One of the major change this year is the Miss Easterval Pageant from the normal Easter Sunday to Saturday. The Soca Fest is now being held on the Sunday straight into the Jouvert Monday.
Another of the changes is the introduction to the Wet N Wild schedule for the 20th of March.
